Suddenly buying a pair of glasses has become a wonderful experience! Service at Jones & Co is excellent and I can't recommend them enough - they know exactly what is going to look good on you without trawling through lots of pairs of glasses. It was strange to be excited about picking up a pair of glasses - so many people have passed comment on them and said how good they look. I will definitely be back!

I don’t know why it took me so long to stumble across Jones And Co - blame the dodgy frames sitting haphazardly somewhere near my myopic peepers. Jones And Co are outstanding. The staff are lovely - professional, friendly, welcoming and (gently) enthusiastic. Their skills at choosing a selection of frames for you to try on will ensure that you leave wearing some seriously stylish spectacles. Their aftercare is excellent and they are happy to tweak until your frames are entirely comfortable. My only concern is how many pairs are enough........

If you’re looking for unique stylish frames with absolutely fantastic service then Jones and Co is the place to be. Being smaller in stature than most with petite features, I’ve always struggled to find frames that don’t drown my face. Never again, in fact, I left with 2 pairs. Their honesty in helping me find the right frame for me was perfect, no telling you what they thought you wanted to hear or directing you to the children’s section (which I’ve often encountered). I couldn’t recommend more highly!

Step inside and Explore a Unique Experience like no other ! I travelled up from Ashbourne, looking far and wide for an optician that could offer more than the "routine" of purchasing new glasses. The building you enter to access the opticians is unique and I experienced a friendly welcome. This is the beginning of a relationship rather than a purchase. I purchase glasses infrequently, taking my time to locate frames that work with my personality and stage of life. Travelling to Jones and Co is absolutely worth the travel, and the time to be fitted with the glasses that are unique, also provide you with the time to really make the decision that is right for you. Be prepared to come and experience the reception, the experience, and the opportunity to find a unique set of frames that reflect the person you are and want to be. I will update my review when I collect my specs! in 3 weeks, but I want to thank Gareth for brining out my inner "playful" side through my choice of specs!. I have lived with massive eye problems and had procedures carried out in this country and abroad. I thought I was receiving the best treatment, but nobody could eradicate my problems entirely. Then, I met team Jones and had my eyes measured by Conor who came up with a totally different formula. Conor and Kathryn were responsible for transforming my life. Jones and Co. are the best optician's I have ever been to. Love you to bits :)

After my wife bought her new Lindberg frames in June I was impressed with the courtesy, friendly reception and professional approach she received so when it was time for my eye test I had no hesitation in returning to Jones and Co. After the test was completed Nick showed me a number of frame options ( I too am a Lindberg fan) and we soon arrived at a frame/lens shape combination which we thought would fit the bill just fine. We returned today to collect my new glasses and they are just what I hoped they'd be. Again Nick was as helpful as ever and I'll certainly return here when my next appointment is due.

Over the years I have tried almost every High St optician chain never feeling they have ever managed to get either the frame or the lenses quite right. I have a fairly complex prescription & I am D/deaf so a rushed assembly-line service in a noisy shop does not work for me. By chance an advert for Jones AND Co. on Facebook caught my eye so I spontaneously made an appointment to investigate. The store is easy to find and it is a delightfully quiet and pleasant environment. Gareth the optician looked after me ensuring he understood what my needs were and in turn ensured I fully understood what my options are and that I was 100% happy with my choice never rushing me. I was quite overwhelmed when I came to collect as my specs were everything I hoped and more ! I thoroughly recommend Jones AND Co if individual care and style is important to you. I really valued Gareth's care and attention he is a thoroughly lovely kind man, I'll be back !

Jones and Co are excellent opticians. I have just received my second pair of glasses from them and the experience was just as brilliant as the first time I visited. As someone who works in customer service for a major retailer, I have to say that the customer service I received at Jones and Co was exemplary. From arriving at Reception to the extensive eye test to the personal fitting service, nothing is too much trouble. I was treated as a very special person with unique needs and the range of glasses I was shown were absolutely beautiful. I have worn glasses for around ten years and the glasses from Jones and Co are the very best I have worn. I get compliments every day about my glasses as they fit me so beautifully because they were styled for me. That is Jones and Co. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I can’t recommend Jones and Co highly enough. The experience is poles apart from normal high street opticians. I’ve been wearing glasses since childhood and so have seen my fair share of opticians. The eye test is thorough and high tech (so no air being pumped into your eye) and the way in which you look at and choose your glasses is just transformative. The staff are professional and approachable- the experience was phenomenal.

Outstanding customer focused service. Everyone I have dealt with has filled me with confidence. They listen to even the vaguest ideas and come up with perfect suggestions for what frames might work (and what won't). I hate being overwhelmed with choice - this doesn't happen at Jones and Co and is exactly what makes it such a special place. Honestly and without a doubt the best experience I’ve ever had at an opticians. As someone with a bit of a weird prescription it had really got to the point where specsavers just didn’t cut it anymore, appointments were rushed and advice on suitable frames was nonexistent. Jones & Co provide such a thorough, helpful and friendly service that for the first time in a long time I am confident in the glasses I’m wearing, both prescription wise and aesthetically. Writing a review of Jones And Co. as "opticians" is a bit like writing a review of a bespoke tailor as a "clothes shop". Obviously the basic competence is there of carrying out an eye test, keeping decent clinical records and finding frames that will suit. What sets them apart are the classy and calm atmosphere of their premises, the paramount quality and range of their frames, and a standard of customer service that can only be understood by experiencing it. To expand on this latter point, going to Jones And Co. always makes me feel special. It is to step away from the anonymous, mundane and collectivist culture that pervades most cities and shopping centres: instead to step towards a culture that appreciates each customer as an individual.

Jones & Co is a very friendly practice. I was just browsing when Nick politely asked if he could help at all. I explained that I liked the frames but had to stick to rimless because it was hard to find frames big enough; he asked if he could try to meet the challenge, then showed me a suitable frame straight off - my daughter said "you have to get those!". I didn't want to rush in, so Nick suggested the first step was to get an up to date prescription. The optometrist was really excellent and I am very happy with the prescription, my reading and distance vision are both much clearer. I have been delighted with the performance of the lenses from the moment I looked through them. Jones and Co get this vital foundation absolutely right, and it is the basis of my confidence in them. What differentiates Jones and Co further though is the most professional dispensing optician practice I have ever encountered. I wear glasses all the time, and have a complicated relationship with them! In the past I have often felt like I was guiding the optician rather than vice versa. Nick listened carefully as I described what I liked and didn't like about my current glasses, what I wanted and didn't want. He then came up with a selection of frames that I would not have chosen myself - I liked some of them more than others, but all of them more than any of the pairs I've been wearing for the last few years. I've just picked up a second pair. I am very happy to recommend Jones and Co. Glasses are deeply personal items as well as essentially part of your wardrobe - its hard to think of a team that collaborates so closely with you to understand and meet such a complex set of personal optical, style, and personal taste requirements so well as just a company, they feel more like friends.

Lovely staff, nice environment and importantly, super-knowledgeable about what I should wear vs what I think I wanted to wear! Also great after care and comms so I will be going back for sure.

I came here because I went round pretty much all the opticians in Manchester and was very bored with the limited selection they had. It turned out to be an all round lovely experience from start to finish and everyone there was very welcoming and seemed really genuine. The eye test was very thorough and I came away with a prescription that was perfect (I had a bit of a lazy eye as a kid and there was a disconnect between the images relayed from left and right but the optician compensated for that.) They’ve also got a great range of frames which are specially picked out for you. I ended up with some beautiful Masunaga frames (quite pricey for me but definitely worth every penny). Would definitely recommend, even if just for an eye test as you’ll know you‘ll be in expert hands!

As a new customer to Jones & Co. I was given a warm and friendly welcome and felt immediately at ease. My eye test itself was thorough and relaxed. It was nice to feel like I could ask questions and not feel rushed. Having loved my existing glasses for 3 and a half years, it was always going to be tough to find some frames that lived up to my favourite specs but Nick did it!! (2 pairs actually!) Nick listened to what I was looking for and got the balance just right! Fantastic service overall and would 100% recommend. The mulled wine, 2 days before Christmas helped too!

As a spectacle wearer for 48 years I have to say this is the most amazing optical experience I have ever had . The eye test itself is great and unhurried ( thanks chick I’m not great with names !) From the moment I walked though the door at Jones and Co I was made to feel at ease, nothing is too much trouble and all the staff are really friendly. At most opticians I felt like I couldn’t sit and look at 50 different frames, with Jones and Co I felt like I could take as long as needed. Been using this opticians since the early 90s when it was in St Anne’s Square in Manchester, and its as good now as it was then. Conor’s team offer up excellent service on a different product than regular high street Opticians. From eye testing through to help with styling and glasses selection, their personalised service has brought me back time and again to Jones & co. There glasses are unique and an investment, which has been made even simpler with their new spread payment system. I’d recommend them to anyone who wants a great product delivered through one of the best service experiences I’ve ever experienced.

I was sceptical at the idea of a styling optician, but having had so many pairs of mediocre glasses over the years, and despairing at the lack of choice for medium/high prescription lenses on the high street, I thought I'd give them a go. So pleased I did! Great experience, top notch service and so many lovely and unusual designs to choose from. Nick helped me to find a pair that could have been designed exactly for my face. I feel good about wearing glasses for the first time ever.

I've reached that time in my life when I need varifocals and my current frames (also from Jones and Co) just weren't suitable. I explained my requirements and concerns about finding something that would still look good on my small face. I love the fact that staff at Jones and Co not only have time for their customers but also have the expertise to make sure customers leave with the frames that will work for them stylistically and also technically. It's such an enjoyable experience!

Given me honest, straight-forward advice, listened to what I was looking for, presented great options time and time again. Every visit I've left with something I love, and which I often get compliments on. Many years ago I visited EVERY optician in Manchester, searching for the Holy Grail...a pair of glasses that would be impossibly light and comfortable, and virtually indestructible.... and that would enable me to see clearly, everything from close reading, to computer screens, to driving conditions and theatre shows! The lovely people at Jones & Co spent so much time with me, patiently showing me all the options, and advising me to try a Titanium frame with lightweight varifocal lenses. Eureka!! This was the end of my search. I'm not a follower of fashions, but I was quietly delighted to find that complete strangers now stop me to ask me where I bought my glasses, because they are so elegant, minimalist and discretely stylish. Visiting Jones & Co is like visiting old friends...there's always a personal welcome and the offer of a cup of tea!! Don't even think about going anywhere else!

I've had awful experiences with glasses in the past - terrible quality, bad service and so on. I loved my experience with these guys - eagerly awaiting my appointment next week to pick up my new glasses, but the service here is unlike any high street opticians. It's a completely personal experience, not the standard sales technique you'll be used to. My stylist Gareth pushed me to try different frames to suit my face shape that I would never have normally picked up - friendly, knowledgeable and professional, you can't fault the staff here and I absolutely loved the pair I went with. If you're looking for a high quality frame that's totally unique, you should definitely try this place. They are a little more on the expensive side it has to be said, but what you get is worth the price tag - I'll certainly be back!
