NEW EYEWEAR FROM THE DESIGN-DRIVEN, TECH-DRIVEN, NATURE-INSPIRED, CREATIVE COMPANY: ROLF
Remember when we introduced you to the Substance range from Rolf in 2022?. Well, we’ve just taken delivery of the brand’s very latest innovations …
Introducing Rolf’s brand new Substance Wire collection.
Where it began
Rolf started as a luxury brand of wooden frames handcrafted in the Austrian Alps. They were first celebrated for visionary eyewear designs in wood, but what soon followed from this family company were impressive innovations in titanium, stone, and horn.
Incredibly their latest Substance collection is 3D-printed eyewear made from plants.
The collection brings the power of plants to the fore and represents a significant leap for sustainable frames. Each pair begins witha powder derived from a very specific plant. It brings with it a whole array of sustainable and functional properties that have enabled the tech- and design-driven company to develop innovative, plant-based eyewear
Since we introduced them last year, these frames proved to be a huge hit with our clients. Everyone has loved how comfortable, lightweight and hardwearing they are, with the added feel-good factor of the collection being highly sustainable.
Meet the new Substance Wire collection
Never ones to stand still, the guys from Rolf have just pushed the collection even further, with the new Substance Wire collection.
This new collection offers a new look to the frames not previously seen, with contrasting pops of colour coming from embedded accents of wire nestled in the 3D printed frame.
Not only does the range look and feel gorgeous, but Rolf created the temples (arms) of the glasses to be completely customisable, meaning they can be shortened by the team in the practice to create a completely bespoke fit for you. They also have the option of nose pads to add even more comfort.
The guys at Rolf have also created the most beautiful 3D-printed glasses chain that can be added for some extra flair and personalisation.
Check out the photos below! But, these frames have to be seen and felt for you to fully appreciate the uniqueness of the 3D-printed material.
